At RankX SEO ("we", "us" or "the platform") we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information.

Information we collect

We only collect the information needed to provide our services:

  • Store information: your store URL and name (from Salla, or from your WordPress/WooCommerce site when you connect our plugin).
  • Product information: the names, descriptions and details of the products you choose to optimize.
  • Account information: your email address (for communication and notifications).
  • Usage data: records of optimizations and the balance you use.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

  • Provide AI-powered content optimization services.
  • Manage your subscription or credits and track your usage.
  • Send important notifications (subscription expiry, updates and similar).
  • Improve our platform and services.
  • Comply with legal requirements.

Data sharing

We never sell your data. We share your information with third parties only in these cases:

  • With Salla or your WordPress site: to update the products you optimize in your store.
  • With OpenAI: to process text with AI (under their terms).
  • When legally required: if required by law or a government authority.

Google User Data

When you choose to connect a Google Search Console or Google Analytics account to your RankX SEO dashboard, we access your data through Google's official APIs with your explicit consent (OAuth) and with read-only permissions:

  • Google Search Console (scope webmasters.readonly — read only): the list of verified sites in your account and your store's search performance data (queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position).
  • Google Analytics (scope analytics.readonly — read only): aggregated metrics for your store's GA4 property (sessions, orders, items sold, revenue by channel and landing page).
  • Account email (scope userinfo.email): only to display and identify the connected account in your dashboard.

How we use it: this data is used exclusively to provide features for you: showing performance reports in your dashboard (winning keywords, SEO impact on sales, domain analysis) and suggesting and generating SEO improvements for your own store. We do not use it for advertising or for any other purpose.

Sharing: we never sell your Google data and never transfer it to data brokers or advertisers. The only exception: when you ask us to generate SEO content, we may pass a limited set of search terms taken from Search Console to our AI provider (OpenAI, acting as a data processor) for the sole purpose of generating the content you requested. The OpenAI API does not use this data to train its models.

Protection: data is transferred over HTTPS/TLS, access tokens are stored in our database with restricted access, and they are never shown to any third party.

Retention and deletion: we keep only what is needed to show your reports. You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the dashboard (the "Disconnect" button), which deletes the stored access tokens immediately, or revoke access from your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you delete your account on the platform, the linked Google data is deleted.

Limited Use disclosure: RankX SEO's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. RankX SEO only accesses Google Search Console and Google Analytics data in read-only mode to display performance reports and generate SEO recommendations for the connected merchant's own store. We never sell Google user data, never use it for advertising, and never allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law. Data derived from Google APIs is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.

Data protection

We take strict security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
  • Access limited to authorized staff.
  • Regular security reviews.
  • Regular backups.

Your rights

  • Access: request a copy of your data.
  • Correction: request that any inaccurate data be corrected.
  • Deletion: request that your data be deleted (subject to legal requirements).
  • Objection: object to a specific processing of your data.

Storage and retention

We keep your data:

  • As long as your account is active.
  • For one year after your subscription is cancelled (for legal compliance).
  • Usage records for no less than the period required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you signed in.
  • Remember your preferences.
  • Analyze how the platform is used.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will inform you of any material changes by a notice in your dashboard or by email.
